Finishing touches

Thank you all for your help, prayers, sweat, donations and hard work. We are not finished. Far from it. There are finishing touches on south wing. We need to build a dining hall, refinish the duplex and completely renovate the north wing to make it like the south wing. We need to get started soon. We have already made a difference for the first three families. One has already moved on, got a job and an apartment. He faces many challenges but we gave him a chance. The other two have made progress in getting their lives back together and are looking forward to providing a better life for themselves and their children. We will be opening more rooms in the next few weeks and selecting more families who are willing to work to rebuild a productive life. The issues are large, the challenges great and the rewards enormous. We still need your help.

 We need donations of $150 for each of 4 rooms to have blinds installed. This is coordinated by Sue Hooper - at 352-636-5221. You can send the donation to me at Samaritan Inn or bring it to CCC designated for BLINDS.

Don't forget to take a flyer and eat at Bob Evans on Thu 8/19. I will be out for a week and look forward to getting back to it 8/23. Thank you all from the residents, staff and me.
